The House's select committee on China, in a letter to National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, indicated that Russia's battlefield techniques that undermine U.S. weapon systems are likely being shared with China. They requested a thorough assessment of Russia's capabilities to counter U.S. arms in Ukraine and the extent of Russian information sharing with China.

The lawmakers referenced reports indicating China's support for Russia's military and raised alarms about the efficacy of U.S. weapons being compromised. They asked Sullivan to investigate whether China is adopting Russian military innovations. The White House has yet to respond. Despite extensive U.S. military aid to Ukraine, the issue of Russian adaptation persists.

NATO recently labeled China a key enabler of Russia's war effort, urging Beijing to cease support. China dismissed these claims as biased and insists its support for Russia is strictly trade-related. Analysts argue European NATO members should fortify their security to let the U.S. focus on China's threats, including the Taiwan dispute. Meanwhile, the Kremlin remains confident that ongoing Russian adaptations neutralize new U.S. weapons.
