Ashutosh Sharma's Heroics Lead Delhi Capitals to Thrilling Victory
Ashutosh Sharma's standout 66 not out led Delhi Capitals to a dramatic one-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants, chasing a 210-run target. Despite a shaky start and falling wickets, Sharma's partnership with Vipraj Nigam and strategic power-hitting secured the win. Key Giants bowlers' absence proved costly.

Ashutosh Sharma delivered a career-defining performance, guiding the Delhi Capitals to a nail-biting one-wicket victory over the Lucknow Super Giants on Monday. Sharma's explosive 66 not out off just 31 balls, sealed with a massive six, was pivotal in securing Delhi's thrilling chase of their 210-run target.
Initially, Delhi Capitals found themselves struggling at 7 for 3 and later 113 for 6. However, Sharma, alongside the lesser-known Vipraj Nigam, added 55 rapid runs, steering the team across the finish line. Despite wickets falling around him, Sharma's composed finish was decisive.
The absence of frontline pacers hit the Super Giants, with Ravi Bishnoi conceding 53 runs. Despite commendable fifties from Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran, Lucknow's 209 for 8 proved insufficient against Delhi's determined chase, spotlighting Sharma's key role in the triumph.
