PSG Faces Stand Closure Over Homophobic Chants

Paris St Germain has been penalized with the partial closure of a stand at their home stadium for the upcoming match against Toulouse on November 22. This disciplinary action results from homophobic chants witnessed during a prior match against Strasbourg.

The French football league's governing body, LFP, declared the ruling on Wednesday, demanding that the Auteuil stand at Parc des Princes remain partially closed for one match, effective from November 5.

Amidst this, French sports minister Gil Averous has indicated potential suspensions of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches in future incidents of homophobic chanting or violence. Leaders PSG are set to host RC Lens this Saturday.
