South Africa's cricket team faces the challenge of playing their upcoming test against Bangladesh without their captain, Temba Bavuma. The team decided to delay his return from injury, according to coach Shukri Conrad.
Bavuma, who sustained a soft tissue injury in a recent match against Ireland, will miss the second test as part of his recovery plan. Conrad explained that though there was a medical program in place for Bavuma's return, the decision was made to prioritize his health and readiness for the upcoming Sri Lankan series.
Despite Bavuma's absence being described as a considerable setback, Conrad expressed confidence in the team's ability to manage without him. Aiden Markram will step in as captain for the forthcoming test in Chittagong.
