The Skillhub Online Games Federation (SOGF), backed by India's Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, is endeavoring to bring the prestigious International Esports Championships to India, marking a significant milestone for the nation's surging esports industry. The initiative signifies a strategic effort to establish India as a global front-runner in competitive online and skill-based gaming.

In a crucial meeting, officials from SOGF and the International Esports Federation (IESF) engaged with the Union Sports Minister, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, to cement their collaboration aimed at sculpting India's esports environment. The minister voiced robust support, highlighting the importance of evolving the ecosystem and expanding opportunities for Indian athletes globally.

President of SOGF, Shankar Aggarwal, praised the collaborative efforts demonstrating India's vast potential in the field. The partnership is expected to extend the reach of esports in India, preparing the ground for hosting elite international competitions. SOGF, featuring veterans and supported by 29 state bodies, guarantees governance, fairness, and nurturing of talent, enhancing India's online gaming scene.
