Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins has revealed that the 2018-19 Test series defeat to India was more painful than the 2020-21 loss. He attributed this to the complete outplaying by the Indian team under Virat Kohli's leadership during the earlier series.
In the 2018-19 series, India managed to secure a historic 2-1 victory, with significant contributions from Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara. The 2020-21 series saw a depleted Indian side again defeating Australia 2-1, marking history with a win at the Gabba for the first time in 32 years.
As the upcoming Test series with India approaches, Cummins expressed his desire to challenge the visitors with green-top pitches. However, he admits to having no control over the pitch preparations. Meanwhile, David Warner, despite his retirement, has shown interest in contributing if needed, though Cummins indicated the team has moved forward.
