Goa was the center of electrifying athleticism during the 24th National Para-Swimming Championship, an event that featured para-athletes from 28 states competing fiercely across several categories. The championship, renowned for its display of talent and determination, concluded its second day with exciting victories and commendable performances.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant lauded the winners and participants for their efforts, connecting the event to wider national initiatives like Fit India, Skill India, and Inclusive India. Sawant highlighted the hard work being done in Goa through programs like Fit Goa and Inclusive Goa, following major events such as the International Purple Festival.

The competition saw Karnataka's Simran and Sharanaya clinching gold in women's S6 and S7 categories, respectively. In the men's events, Tomy Joseph of Kerala triumphed in the S11 category. Across various categories, athletes from Rajasthan, Odisha, Maharashtra, and West Bengal secured multiple podium finishes, demonstrating exceptional prowess in the pool.
