India's cricket team has received encouraging news as pace bowler Mohammed Shami is now pain-free following a heel surgery earlier this year. The seasoned cricketer is set to participate in domestic matches to fine-tune his game ahead of India's anticipated tour of Australia starting next month.

Shami, who hasn't represented the national team since the World Cup final against Australia last year due to injuries, was seen practicing on the final day of the first test against New Zealand. Despite a separate knee injury ruling him out of the ongoing New Zealand series, hopes are high for his return.

In an interview, Shami confirmed his recovery and readiness to put additional effort into his practice. He emphasized the importance of playing domestic matches to prepare for the challenging series in Australia. The tour is scheduled to begin on November 22 in Perth.
