Star Australian cricketer Ellyse Perry lauded New Zealand's celebrated trio of Suzie Bates, Sophie Devine, and Lea Tahuhu for securing the ICC Women's T20 World Cup title. Their victory over South Africa not only marked a triumphant end to a 15-year quest for the coveted trophy but was also a testament to the trio's enduring prowess.

Perry shared her admiration on Instagram, emphasizing that few players deserved success more than this New Zealand senior trio. While Australia's bid ended in the semifinals with a loss to South Africa, New Zealand reached the finals after outpacing West Indies by eight runs in a thrilling semifinal encounter.

Bates, Devine, and Tahuhu, pivotal throughout the tournament, were instrumental in New Zealand's success. Bates, despite not reaching a fifty, was the fourth-highest scorer with influential contributions in every match. She also claimed a wicket, while Devine's consistent performances and Tahuhu's decisive wickets underscored their invaluable presence.
