In an electrifying third round of the Haryana Open 2024 held at Panchkula Golf Club, Bengaluru's Rahil Gangjee clinched the lead with a five-under 67, pushing his total score to 15-under 201. Ahmedabad's Varun Parikh closely trails him, capturing the second spot with a 14-under 202 after an impressive round matching Gangjee's score of 67.

The leaderboard remains tightly packed as Gurugram's Veer Ahlawat, the PGTI Ranking leader, joined Pune's Rohan Dhole Patil and Chandigarh's Akshay Sharma in a tie for third place at 12-under 204. The Chandigarh-based Angad Cheema secured a place in the top-10, tying for sixth at 11-under 205 alongside Dhruv Sheoran and Sachin Baisoya. Pukhraj Singh Gill of Ludhiana, previously leading halfway, fell to tied ninth.

Gangjee, an eight-title winner including two on the Asian Development Tour this year, showcased strategic gameplay. Despite early mixed results, he executed a strong back-nine performance, seizing birdies on each par-5. Varun Parikh, meanwhile, maintained calm to produce consistent birdies, leaving an exciting showdown for the final round.
