The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) has announced the fourth edition of the J&K Open, slated to take place from October 23 to 26 at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course. With a prize pool of Rs 50 lakh, this prestigious event promises fierce competition among top Indian golfers such as Angad Cheema, Shaurya Binu, and Olympian Udayan Mane, alongside international contenders, including Czech Stepan Danek and American Dominic Piccirillo.
Vivekanand Rai, Director of Tourism for Jammu, emphasized the benefits of partnering with PGTI, highlighting the value of the tournament in promoting the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir as a leading destination for Golf Tourism. Manav Gupta, Secretary of the Jammu Tawi Golf Course, expressed pride in hosting the tournament, which he believes underlines the golf course's commitment to advancing the sport in India.
PGTI President Kapil Dev celebrated the event's return to Jammu's picturesque landscapes, thanking local partners for their support and asserting the tournament's significance within the PGTI schedule. CEO Uttam Singh Mundy described the J&K Open as a much-anticipated event, further boosting Golf Tourism in the region. The Jammu Tawi Golf Course, an 18-hole venue inaugurated in 2011, offers a stunning setting along National Highway 1A, perfect for this esteemed championship.
