Tamil Nadu emerged victorious in Group A of the 29th Senior Women's National Football Championship by overcoming Himachal Pradesh 1-0. The win secured them a spot in the main rounds of the tournament.

Despite all three teams, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Goa, finishing their group stage matches with six points, Tamil Nadu advanced due to head-to-head results. Midfielder and captain Kaviya Pakkirisamy scored the crucial goal in the 29th minute.

Elsewhere, Kerala dashed Goa's hopes with a decisive 2-0 victory, ending the latter's aspirations of advancing further in the competition. Manasa K and Aleena Tony scored for Kerala in the second half.
