India Announces 26-Member Probables for Tri-Nation Tournament in Vietnam

Indian senior men's team head coach Manolo Marquez has revealed a 26-member probables list for the upcoming Tri-Nation friendly tournament in Vietnam, set for the October FIFA International Match Window. The announcement came on Monday.

The Blue Tigers are scheduled to take on hosts Vietnam on October 9 and Lebanon on October 12 at the Thien Truong Stadium in Nam Dinh. A final squad of 23 players will be confirmed before the team departs for Vietnam. Subsequently, India will play a friendly against Malaysia on November 19 during the FIFA Window.

Currently, Malaysia stands at 132nd in the FIFA rankings, while India is positioned at 126th. The last encounter between these teams was in the Merdeka Cup semi-final in October 2023, where the Blue Tigers faced a 2-4 defeat.

Goalkeepers for the probables list include Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Amrinder Singh, and Vishal Kaith. Defenders listed are Nikhil Poojary, Rahul Bheke, Chinglensana Singh Konsham, Anwar Ali, Aakash Sangwan, Subhasish Bose, Asish Rai, Mehtab Singh, and Roshan Singh Naorem.

Midfielders include Suresh Singh Wangjam, Lalrinliana Hnamte, Jeakson Singh Thounaojam, Nandhakumar Sekar, Brandon Fernandes, Anirudh Thapa, Liston Colaco, Lalengmawia, and Lallianzuala Chhangte. Forwards are Edmund Lalrindika, Farukh Chaudhary, Manvir Singh, Vikram Partap Singh, and Rahim Ali.
