India's grip on the SAFF U17 Championship continued as they retained the title, defeating Bangladesh 2-0 in the 2024 final at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan. The match on Monday, September 30, 2024, saw a goalless first half until Mohammed Kaif scored a decisive header in the 58th minute.

Facing a staunchly defensive Bangladesh, India's relentless attacks finally paid off. Despite multiple attempts being blocked, a moment of brilliance from Kaif off a corner kick broke the deadlock. Bangladesh responded with more aggression, but India's defense, led by goalkeeper Aheibam Suraj Singh, thwarted their efforts.

India sealed their victory when Md. Arbash netted a powerful left-footer in the 95th minute, ensuring their triumphant return home. Md. Arbash was awarded the Player of the Tournament, and Aheibam Suraj Singh named Goalkeeper of the Tournament. Throughout the match, India outplayed Bangladesh with continuous offensive plays, securing another Championship title.
