On Monday, Indian senior men's football team head coach Manolo Marquez revealed a preliminary squad of 26 players for the approaching Tri-Nation friendly tournament in Vietnam, set to occur during the October FIFA international match window.
The Blue Tigers are slated to compete against the host country, Vietnam, on October 9, followed by a match against Lebanon on October 12. Both games will be held at the Thien Truong Stadium in Nam Dịnh, located roughly 100 kilometers from Hanoi. The finalized squad of 23 players will be announced before the team's departure to Vietnam.
The preliminary squad includes three goalkeepers: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Amrinder Singh, and Vishal Kaith. The defenders on the list are Nikhil Poojary, Rahul Bheke, Chinglensana Singh Konsham, Anwar Ali, Aakash Sangwan, Subhasish Bose, Asish Rai, Mehtab Singh, and Roshan Singh Naorem. Midfielders include Suresh Singh Wangjam, Lalrinliana Hnamte, Jeakson Singh Thounaojam, Nandhakumar Sekar, Brandon Fernandes, Anirudh Thapa, Liston Colaco, Lalengmawia, and Lallianzuala Chhangte. The forwards are Edmund Lalrindika, Farukh Chaudhary, Manvir Singh, Vikram Partap Singh, and Rahim Ali.
