The team, comprising 20 male and female athletes, was chosen through a rigorous selection process to meet international competition standards. They prepared for the championship at an intensive training camp held at Chandigarh University, a collaboration between India Taekwondo and the University.

For the first time, India Taekwondo utilized rolling mats during the Champions of Champions tournament in Nashik, where 1,200 athletes participated. India Taekwondo President Namdev Shirgaonkar believes this innovation will benefit the sport's development. He expressed confidence in the team's abilities and highlighted the importance of the training camp and world-class facilities provided to the athletes.
