The Indian round of the MotoGP championship has been pushed to 2026, as organisers cited 'operational circumstances' for the delay.
Initially set for September 2024 and then deferred to March 2025, the event is now slated for early 2026.
The FIM, IRTA, and Dorna Sports confirmed that the Indian Grand Prix, which garnered over 50,000 spectators during its 2023 debut, will become a reserve event for 2025.
Organisers faced issues finding available dates towards the end of the 2025 season, leading to the decision. The UP government has already issued a new tender to appoint a co-promoter for the costly event, estimated at around 160 crores.
