India, already qualified for the semi-finals, will look to secure the top spot in Group A by defeating Maldives in the SAFF U17 Championship on Tuesday.
In their opening match on Friday, Ishfaq Ahmed's team clinched a 1-0 victory against Bangladesh with a last-minute goal by Sumit Sharma Brahmacharimayum. The subsequent 1-1 draw between Bangladesh and the Maldives ensured India's semi-final berth.
Coach Ahmed suggested squad rotation for the upcoming game to give more players valuable match experience. 'Since we have already qualified, it's important to give other players some game time. We aim to win this match and top the group,' said Ahmed.
