India's Paralympic medal-winners returned home to a jubilant welcome on Tuesday, celebrating an unprecedented haul of 29 medals at the recent Games in Paris.
Upon arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, the athletes were greeted with dhol beats and euphoric chants from supporters, sports administrators, and their families.
Among the champions was javelin thrower Sumit Antil, who clinched his second consecutive gold in the F64 category, and archer Harvinder Singh, who became the first Indian archer to win Paralympics gold.
