Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has voiced his confidence in Rishabh Pant's future in Test cricket, predicting that the young cricketer is on a path to greatness. However, Ganguly also pointed out that Pant needs to elevate his performance in shorter formats of the game.
Pant made a remarkable return to the Test team after a life-threatening car accident in December 2022. He is expected to start in the first Test against Bangladesh, beginning in Chennai on September 19. Since his return, Pant has performed well in T20s and ODIs.
Discussing the upcoming challenges for Team India, Ganguly highlighted the significance of the tours to Australia and England. He also expressed concern over the current talent pool in Pakistan, recalling the notable players from the past and the evident gap in quality today.
