Record Turnout at 2024 U.S. Open Sets New Benchmarks
More than a million fans attended the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for the U.S. Open, making it the most attended in history. The event saw an 8% increase from 2023, concluding with Jannik Sinner winning the men's final and Aryna Sabalenka claiming the women's title.
More than a million fans passed through the gates of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center over three weeks of U.S. Open qualifying and main draw play, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) announced Sunday, setting a new attendance record for the year's final Grand Slam.
The record-breaking 1,048,669 fans represented an impressive 8% increase over 2023. Notably, 832,640 attendees were recorded in the two weeks featuring main draw matches, according to the USTA. The tournament concluded on Sunday with world No. 1 Jannik Sinner triumphing over 12th seed Taylor Fritz in the men's final.
On the women's side, World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka secured a victory against sixth seed Jessica Pegula on Saturday, clinching the women's title.
