U.S. Open finalist Jannik Sinner remains optimistic that the wrist injury he sustained during Friday's semi-final victory over Jack Draper will not impede his performance in the final. Sinner, who is the first Italian man to reach a U.S. Open final, received medical attention during his straight-set win, while Draper struggled in the intense New York heat.

"The physio loosened it up very fast on court, so after I felt OK initially. Then, after, it went away by playing, which is good," Sinner told reporters. "Let's see how it is tomorrow when it's cold. It's going to be a different feeling. Hopefully, it's nothing to concern about," he added.

The 23-year-old Australian Open champion is set to face American 12th seed Taylor Fritz in Sunday's final. Acknowledging the challenge ahead, Sinner remarked, "We're in New York playing against an American, so the crowd will be more on their side. But it's normal. It's like when I play in Italy, so I'm going to accept that."
