The World Test Championship final, scheduled for June 11-15 next year, will be held at Lord's for the first time, according to an announcement by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday. This prestigious match will see the two highest-ranked sides in the five-day format competing at this historic venue.
The ICC has designated June 16 as a reserve day in case extra time is required. The Indian team, leading the current standings, will face defending champions Australia. Prior to the final, India will tour Australia for a series of five test matches from November to January.
Previous finals took place at Southampton's Rose Bowl and The Oval in London, making this a significant change in venue for the championship decider.
