The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the third World Test Championship (WTC) final will take place at the historic Lord's from June 11 to 15 next year. June 16 has been designated as a reserve day, if necessary.

The ICC CEO, Geoff Allardice, expressed enthusiasm about the announcement. 'The ICC World Test Championship Final has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in the cricketing calendar and we are pleased to announce the dates for the 2025 edition,' he stated.

This marks the first time Lord's will host the WTC final, with previous events held in Southampton and the Oval. India, who played in both previous finals but lost to New Zealand and Australia respectively, are currently leading the race for the final. They will compete in a crucial away five-match series against Australia later this year, with New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Bangladesh also in contention.
