Max Verstappen Criticizes Red Bull's Transformation of Dominant Car
Formula One star Max Verstappen expressed his frustration with Red Bull, stating that a previously dominant car has become undriveable. Despite leading the championship, Verstappen struggled at the Italian Grand Prix, finishing sixth. He highlighted issues with the car's engine and team strategy, impacting both driver and constructor standings.
Max Verstappen, the leader in the Formula One championship, criticized Red Bull for turning a previously dominant car into an unmanageable vehicle, following his struggle to secure sixth place at the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday.
The Dutch triple world champion, who won a record 19 out of 22 races last year, has not won for six races in the current season. Despite this, he holds a 62-point lead over McLaren's Lando Norris, with McLaren trailing by just eight points in the constructors' standings.
Verstappen pointed out issues with the car's engine and team strategy. He said, "We basically went from a very dominant car to an undriveable car in the space of, what, six to eight months. That is very weird for me." He urged the team to address these problems urgently to stay competitive in the championship.
