Indian Shooters Fall Short in Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone at Paralympics

Indian Paralympic shooters Avani Lekhara and Sidhartha Babu failed to make the final in the mixed 10m air rifle prone (SH1). Avani finished 11th, while Sidhartha ended 28th. In the SH2 category, Sriharsha Devaraddi Ramakrishna finished 26th. Despite previous successes, the shooters couldn’t secure a top-eight spot to advance.

Indian Paralympic shooters Avani Lekhara and Sidhartha Babu were unable to advance to the finals in the mixed 10m air rifle prone (SH1) event. Avani secured the 11th position, while Sidhartha finished 28th.

In the SH2 qualification, Sriharsha Devaraddi Ramakrishna ended in 26th place with a total score of 630.2. Both men and women athletes compete together in this mixed event.

Despite her historic win in the 10m air rifle standing SH1 event, Avani could not maintain her form in the prone event, ending with a total of 632.8. Sidhartha aggregated 628.3 across six series. Devaraddi, who scored 105.2 in Series 1 and gradually improved, ultimately couldn't make it past the qualification round due to an accident that left him with limited limb control.
