Samit Dravid, son of former India captain and head coach Rahul Dravid, has been selected for the India under-19 squad for the upcoming multi-format series against Australia.
The series begins with three one-day matches in Puducherry on September 21, 23, and 26, where India's captain will be Uttar Pradesh's Mohammad Amaan.
The team will then move on to Chennai for two four-day matches starting on September 30 and October 7, with Soham Patwardhan from Madhya Pradesh serving as the captain during this leg of the tour.
Currently playing for Mysore Warriors in the KSCA Maharaja T20 tournament in Bengaluru, Samit has not yet impressed with the bat, scoring just 82 runs in seven innings. However, he enjoyed a successful stint in the Cooch Behar Trophy earlier this year, where he scored 362 runs and took 16 wickets in eight matches, significantly contributing to Karnataka's title win.
