India's Yuki Bhambri and his partner Albano Olivetti have progressed to the men's doubles third round of the US Open, following a hard-fought win over Austin Krajicek and Jean-Julien Roger.

The Indo-French duo triumphed over the 15th-seeded American-Dutch pair, securing a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory.

Conversely, another Indian competitor, N Sriram Balaji, paired with Argentine Guido Andreozzi, was eliminated by New Zealand's Michael Venus and Great Britain's Neal Skupski in the second round, losing 6-7 (4), 4-6.

Venus and Skupski converted one of the seven break points, while Balaji and Andreozzi failed to seize their lone opportunity for a service break.
