India's shuttler Nitesh Kumar achieved a comfortable win while Manoj Kumar suffered a defeat in the men's singles SL3 Group A event at the ongoing Paris Paralympics on Friday. Nitesh dominated China's Jianyuan Yang, racing to a 21-5, 21-11 win.

On the flip side, Manoj faced a straight-game loss to Thailand's Mongkhon Bunsun by 19-21, 8-21. Despite showing grit initially, Manoj couldn't overcome Bunsun's challenge in the second set. Earlier, Manasi Joshi crashed out of the women's singles SL3 Group A event after a comeback win by Ukraine's Oksana Kozyna.

Manasi started strong, winning the first set 21-10, but Oksana leveled the match by taking the second set 15-21. Manasi had the lead in the decider, but Oksana edged with a 21-23 win, ensuring Manasi's exit. India's largest-ever Paralympics contingent marks significant medal hopes, aiming to surpass Tokyo's four-medal haul.
