Karun Nair, once a celebrated name in Indian cricket, is arduously working on rebuilding his career. The 32-year-old batsman, who last played for India seven years ago, has reignited his passion and form by scoring heavily for Vidarbha in domestic cricket and Northamptonshire in English county cricket over the past year.

"It's about taking one game at a time and not getting stuck thinking about the future," Nair told PTI. His recent performances, including a century against eventual county champions Surrey, have breathed new life into his ambitions. Nair scored 487 runs from seven matches in England and 690 runs from 10 matches for Vidarbha, showcasing his resilience and adaptability.

Reflecting on his journey, Nair said, "The opportunity to play Ranji Trophy cricket again has been invaluable. Missing out on a season taught me to value each game. I'm determined to keep improving and aim for a comeback to the Indian Test team." Nair's immediate goal is to secure a title in the KSCA Maharaja T20 with Mysore Warriors, hoping this success lays the groundwork for his return to the national squad.
