Record-Breaking Feats at Silesia Diamond League
Jakob Ingebrigtsen shattered the 3,000m world record, and Mondo Duplantis broke his own pole vault record at the Silesia Diamond League. Ingebrigtsen clocked 7:17.55, while Duplantis cleared 6.26m. The event saw multiple impressive performances, including victories by Gianmarco Tamberi and Letsile Tebogo.
Norwegian Jakob Ingebrigtsen dismantled the long-standing 3,000 metres world record, bettering it by over three seconds at the Silesia Diamond League. Ingebrigtsen clocked in at seven minutes and 17.55 seconds, obliterating the record set by Kenya's Daniel Komen in 1996.
At the same event, Swedish prodigy Mondo Duplantis broke his own pole vault world record by leaping 6.26m. Duplantis had previously set the bar at 6.25m earlier this month.
The meeting featured other remarkable performances, including a 200m victory by Botswana's Letsile Tebogo and triumphs in the 800m and high jump events.
