As the Paralympic Games approach, Devendra Jhajharia, President of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI), expressed confidence in India's ability to win medals daily. Speaking to ANI, Jhajharia stated, 'We will win gold, and we will win medals every day from the 28th (August) to the 8th (September).' He credited meticulous preparations for the expected success.

This year's contingent is notably larger with 84 athletes, up from 54 in Tokyo. Jhajharia highlighted the past three years of hard work and international successes as key factors. 'Our athletes have excelled during foreign tours, giving us a strong foundation and increased confidence,' he noted. Jhajharia believes India will secure more than 25 medals this year.

Despite administrative challenges, Jhajharia remains committed. 'The demands in sports and administration are immense,' he acknowledged. With efforts aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Vikshit Bharat,' Jhajharia aims for a 'top 20 finish in the medal tally.' Despite Pramod Bhagat's suspension, Jhajharia remains optimistic about the badminton team's performance.
