Max Verstappen is poised to embark on his 200th Formula One race this Sunday, a significant milestone he will celebrate in front of his ardent Dutch fans at the age of just 26. Despite his stellar record, the Red Bull triple world champion firmly stated he has no aspiration to double this tally.

On Thursday, Verstappen responded with a definitive 'no' when asked if he aims to reach 400 races, a feat achievable given that Fernando Alonso races at 43 and Lewis Hamilton at 39. 'Nice and easy. So we passed halfway for sure,' quipped the champion, whose contract with Red Bull extends up to 2028.

Verstappen, who debuted in 2015 as the youngest Formula One driver at 17, marked several records, including the youngest race winner in 2016. He relished his career path, mentioning the fast accumulation of races due to the current season's record 24 races, a stark increase from a decade ago.

Verstappen plans to keep his future options open while gauging the impact of new regulations in 2026. Reflecting on his highlights, he mentioned his first victory in Spain and his controversial championship win in Abu Dhabi in 2021. Despite Mercedes' recent dominance and McLaren's faster car, Verstappen aims for a 'clean weekend' as he races in Zandvoort.
