Purani Dilli 6 opener Arpit Rana led his team to a seven-wicket victory over West Delhi Lions, scoring an unbeaten 56 runs at the Shri Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Rana aimed to convert loose deliveries into boundaries and maintain his natural game during their third match of the Delhi Premier League on Wednesday.

"I wanted to convert loose balls into boundaries and play my natural game," said Rana, who was named Player of the Match. This marked Purani Dilli 6's first win of the ongoing season. The Lalit Yadav-led side had restricted West Delhi Lions to 141/9 in 20 overs before easily chasing down the target.

Despite losing the first two games, Purani Dilli 6 showed determination to turn the tide. The team's coach and senior players advised the younger stars to give their all, which proved crucial. "They advised us to give 100% on the field, and our strong bowling in the powerplay was a major advantage," said Rana.

Rana's aggressive start saw Purani Dilli 6 score 40 runs within the first four overs. Despite losing Manjeet early, Rana, supported by Sanat Sangwan, added 40 runs for the second wicket. Even after the dismissals of Sangwan and Yadav, Rana kept the innings steady, with Vansh Bedi scoring a brisk 30 off 18 balls to ensure a smooth finish.

Looking ahead, the team aims to build on this momentum when they face Central Delhi Kings on Friday. The Purani Dilli 6 squad includes Lalit Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Arpit Rana, and Rishabh Pant, among others.
