India Shines at CEAT Cricket Rating Awards 2024

The CEAT Cricket Rating Awards 2024 ceremony held in Mumbai on Wednesday celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of Indian cricket legends, honoring their stellar performances across various formats.
Rohit Sharma, India's skipper, was named the CEAT Men's International Cricketer of the Year after leading the team to victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. With 14,846 runs, three double hundreds, 33 hundreds, and 87 fifties in ODIs and T20Is, Sharma's incomparable record speaks volumes. His captaincy saw India clinch the T20 World Cup and he set a new record with 49 victories in T20Is, surpassing Dhoni's tally.
Young cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal bagged the award for the best Test batter of the year for his incredible run against England, scoring 712 runs in five matches. Mohammad Shami was recognized as the best ODI bowler, having taken 24 wickets in the 2023 ODI World Cup, marking his comeback from a period plagued by injuries.
Virat Kohli's remarkable performance earned him the best ODI batter of the year, with 13,906 runs to his name. His role was pivotal in India's T20 World Cup 2024 triumph, ending an 11-year ICC trophy drought. Rahiv Dravid was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Ravichandran Ashwin received the accolade for Test Bowler of the Year, dominating England's tour of India with 26 wickets.
In IPL, Shreyas Iyer was awarded for Outstanding Leadership for steering Kolkata Knight Riders to their third title. The T20 World Cup 2024 final saw India clinch a dramatic win against South Africa, with standout performances from Kohli, Pandya, and Bumrah.
