The 2024 U.S. Open is set to captivate tennis enthusiasts with not only high-octane matches but also unprecedented financial incentives. From August 26 to September 8, players will compete for a share of an eye-popping $75 million prize pool—a 15% increase from 2023.
Men's and women's singles champions will each receive $3.6 million, eclipsing the previous year's $3 million top prize. The prize distribution trickles down generously, with first-round losers taking home $100,000. Notably, men's and women's doubles champions will pocket $750,000, while mixed doubles winners will earn $200,000.
This lucrative increase aligns with the U.S. Open's status as the final Grand Slam of the tennis calendar. Meanwhile, 2024's other Grand Slams have also dished out hefty winnings: Australian Open champions Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka earned $2.08 million each, while French Open champions Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek took home $2.66 million each.
