In a recent development, world number one Jannik Sinner has been cleared of any doping charges by an independent tribunal. This decision comes just days before the Italian player is set to compete in the U.S. Open.

The tribunal, convened by Sport Resolutions, accepted that the anabolic agent clostebol entered Sinner's system via massages and sports therapy administered by his physio, Giacomo Naldi. Naldi had used an over-the-counter spray containing clostebol on himself and then inadvertently applied it to Sinner without gloves.

Despite the provisional suspension imposed following two positive tests in March, Sinner successfully appealed to continue playing. The International Tennis Integrity Authority confirmed the ruling and disqualified his results from the ATP Masters 1000 event at Indian Wells. Sinner, who always maintained his innocence, stated he would move past this challenging period.
