Pat Cummins, the Australian cricket captain, has voiced his enthusiasm over cricket's approved inclusion in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The game's addition to the global event is seen as a chance to add an Olympic gold medal to Cummins' already impressive resume, which boasts victories in the ODI World Cup, the World Test Championship, and the T20 World Cup.

In a recent video shared by ESPNcricinfo, Cummins discussed the growing excitement among his teammates about the Olympic prospect. 'That will be awesome,' Cummins said. 'After seeing Paris over the last few weeks, we have started to get pretty excited about potentially going. It had not really ever been on any of our radars.'

'It's four years away. Anything can happen, so you never quite know, but that would be awesome, to represent Australia in the middle of an Olympics. It will be special,' he added. The potential Olympic debut represents a new frontier for both Cummins and his cricketing peers.

Reflecting a broader sense of anticipation among cricketers, Cummins' enthusiasm highlights the appeal of showcasing their talents on one of the world's biggest stages. The 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles could mark another milestone in Cummins' illustrious career, which has seen him lead Sunrisers Hyderabad to an IPL final and triumph over India in both the World Test Championship and ODI World Cup finals. Cummins also aims to reclaim the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with the series beginning on November 22 at Perth Stadium. (ANI)
