The Mangaluru Dragons delivered a commanding performance to secure an eight-wicket victory over the Shivamogga Lions at the Shriram Capital Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20, held at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday. The chase of 176 was powered by explosive contributions from Rohan Patil, who scored 72 off 40 balls, and Macneil Noronha, who added 43 off just 19 balls.

Despite a valiant effort from Abhinav Manohar, who achieved an unbeaten 84 off 34 balls, including three fours and nine sixes, the Shivamogga Lions registered their second consecutive loss. Manohar's effort, however, wasn't enough to steer his team to victory.

The Dragons' openers, Patil and Noronha, forged a 75-run partnership in just 35 balls during the powerplay. This strong start laid the foundation for a successful chase. After Noronha was dismissed, Patil continued his onslaught, forming a 49-run partnership with Nikin Jose (17 runs). Patil's dismissal in the 13th over brought KV Siddarth to the crease, who ensured the victory with an unbeaten 38 off 19 balls. The win was sealed with eight wickets and 3.4 overs to spare, marking a significant achievement for the Mangaluru Dragons.
