India is poised to make a significant mark at the Paris Paralympic Games, with PCI chief coach Satyanarayana predicting at least 25 medals for the national contingent. The games commence on August 28 and run through September 8.

Satyanarayana, speaking to ANI, emphasized the strength of India's 84-member contingent competing in 11 sports for the first time. "We are confident of surpassing our previous performances, aiming for not less than 25 medals this time, compared to our five golds last Paralympics," he stated.

He credited government, corporate, and media support for this optimistic outlook, noting significant progress from zero medals in 2008 to 19 in recent editions. Satyanarayana also mentioned his presence in Paris to acclimatize athletes to local conditions and urged public support, saying, "Support us, because that earns us a medal more than our practice."
