Sardar Azmoun Joins Shabab Al-Ahli from Bayer Leverkusen

Iranian forward Sardar Azmoun has made a high-profile switch from Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen to Emirates Pro League team Shabab Al-Ahli, the club announced on Monday.
'Shabab Al-Ahli is the best,' the 29-year-old said in a video posted by his new team on X.
Azmoun initially joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2022 from Zenit St Petersburg and spent last season on loan at AS Roma, featuring in 23 Serie A matches and netting three goals. Now, Shabab Al-Ahli, who finished second in the Emirates Pro League, aim to make it to the main stage of the AFC Champions League as they face Sepahan in the preliminary round.
