Spain's Rudy Fernandez has made history by becoming the first male basketball player to compete in six Olympic Games.

The 39-year-old reached this remarkable milestone during Spain's matchup against Australia, clocking in at the 5:18 mark of the first quarter in the Paris Olympic tournament.

On the women's side, Diana Taurasi will join Fernandez in this exclusive club when the U.S. women's team faces Japan on Monday.

Previously, Spain's Juan Carlos Navarro, Puerto Rico's Teofilo Cruz, Australia's Andrew Gaze, Brazil's Oscar Schmidt, and Argentina's Luis Scola have each played in five Olympic Games.
