Charlotte Dujardin Withdraws from Paris Games Amid Investigation

Charlotte Dujardin, Britain's joint-most decorated female Olympian, has announced her withdrawal from the upcoming Paris Games amid an investigation by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI). The six-time medallist revealed that the probe centers around an old video in which she acknowledged making an 'error of judgement' during a coaching session.

'A video has emerged from four years ago that shows me making an error of judgement during a coaching session,' Dujardin said in a statement. 'Understandably, the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) is investigating, and I have made the decision to withdraw from all competition – including the Paris Olympics – while this process takes place.'

Dujardin, who has won three golds, a silver, and two bronze medals at the London, Rio, and Tokyo Games, apologized to her team, fans, and sponsors. She expressed deep shame and committed to cooperating fully with the FEI, British Equestrian Federation, and British Dressage during the investigation. 'I will not be commenting further until the process is complete,' she added.
