Torino Signs Scotland's Che Adams in Free Transfer

Serie A club Torino has officially announced the acquisition of former Southampton forward Che Adams on a free transfer. The 28-year-old Scotland international, who parted ways with Southampton at the end of last season, has signed a three-year contract with the Italian club.

"Ciao Toro fans. I'm so happy to be here, I can't wait to get started and see you soon," Adams stated in a video posted by Torino on social media platform X. During his five seasons at Southampton, Adams scored 48 goals over 191 appearances. His final game for Southampton was in the Championship playoff final, where he came off the bench to help the team secure promotion back to the Premier League by defeating Leeds United.

Adams made his debut for the Scotland national team in 2021, having previously represented England Under-20s. He participated in all six of Scotland's matches during Euro 2020 and the qualifiers for Euro 2024. Torino, who ended up ninth in the league standings last season, struggled with scoring, netting only 36 goals in 38 games.
