With hands on his hips, Tiger Woods resembled a commuter awaiting a tardy train.
His drive ended up near the ScotRail line along the 11th hole at Royal Troon, encapsulating his dismal 8-over 79 opening round at the British Open.
"I didn't do a whole lot of things right today," Woods admitted. "I need to shoot something in the mid-60s tomorrow to get something going on the weekend." His average score in the majors this year stands at 75.4, and he has not broken par in 14 consecutive rounds since the 2022 PGA Championship's second round.
