Arshad Nadeem, a leading figure in the international javelin scene and one of Neeraj Chopra's main competitors, is set to steer an 18-member Pakistan contingent at the Paris Olympics. This group aims to secure the coveted medal for Pakistan at the prestigious event.

The Pakistan Olympic Association made the announcement Monday, featuring a mix of seven athletes and 11 officials, covering four sports disciplines. Highlights of the team include shooter Kishmala Talat, who made history as the first Pakistani woman to qualify for the Olympics in shooting.

Pakistan's most recent Olympic success dates back to 1992 in Barcelona with a bronze in men's hockey. With ten overall medals since 1948, the spotlight is strongly on Nadeem, who has consistently performed, including a silver finish at the 2023 World Championships and a historical 90m mark at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
