Meanwhile, Ernie Els secured his first Senior Major title with an impressive performance. Els, a seasoned golfer with 19 PGA TOUR titles, shot 2-under 68 on Sunday, finishing at 10-under 270. His victory edged out YE Yang by a single shot, marking his sixth win on the PGA TOUR Champions circuit.

Els' triumph elevated him to the top of the season-long Charles Schwab Cup standings and made him the first player to achieve three victories this season. Despite a bogey at the par-5 16th hole, Els closed with two strong pars, solidifying his win.
