Ukraine's agriculture is set for a significant boost as sunflower seed harvests are predicted to increase by 6-8% by 2025. This optimistic forecast is attributed to a probable 5% expansion in the sowing area next year, according to insider APK-Inform.
Current pricing trends are fueling this bullish outlook. Export prices for Ukrainian sunflower seeds have surged by $15-$30 per metric ton over the past week, reaching between $505-$535 on a Carriage Paid To (CPT) basis as of November 6.
This rise in domestic sunflower cultivation could solidify Ukraine's position in the global agricultural market, driven by favorable economic conditions and strategic planting decisions.
