A ninth body was found on Friday in the ongoing search after an under-construction building collapsed in Babusapalya, Bengaluru. The recovery efforts, responding to the tragic incident that unfolded amid heavy rain on Tuesday, have now brought the death toll to nine, according to local police.
To manage the aftermath of this catastrophic event, extensive search and rescue operations have been launched. Teams from the fire and emergency services, National Disaster Response Force, and State Disaster Response Force have been actively engaged since the disaster struck.
The police have identified the latest deceased as Elumalai. Furthermore, in connection with this tragedy, they have arrested the building's owner, his son, and the contractor responsible for overseeing the construction project.
