Violence Escalates in Mount Lebanon with Fatal Airstrikes
In a day of escalating violence, Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon's Mount Lebanon area resulted in at least 20 fatalities and 13 injuries. The strikes targeted the Joun in Chouf district and the town of Baalchmay, amidst ongoing fighting between Israel and Hezbollah. The escalation has led to significant casualties.
At least 20 individuals were killed and 13 others injured following Israeli airstrikes in Mount Lebanon, according to the Lebanese health ministry's report on Tuesday.
The attacks struck Joun in the Chouf district, where 12 people lost their lives and eight sustained injuries. The town of Baalchmay was also hit, leaving eight dead and five injured, the ministry disclosed.
The violent clash between Israel and Hezbollah, aligned with Iran, continues to intensify in Lebanon. On Tuesday, Israeli military executed substantial airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs, marking a significant escalation in its daytime attacks on Hezbollah-controlled regions.
